Child safety

A place for adults,
and a line no one crosses.

Nooda is a place for people aged 18 and over. We prohibit absolutely anything that harms a child — material or conduct — and a report of it comes before everything else in review. These are our published standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE).

Minimum age

Nooda is for people aged 18 and over, and entry is by invitation rather than open sign-up — every new resident comes in through a door someone knows. If we find an account below that age, we close it.

What is forbidden in Nooda

  • Any material depicting the sexual exploitation or abuse of a child — image, audio, text or drawing — including anything claimed to be fictional.
  • Grooming a child, soliciting a child, or attempting to reach one by any means inside the place.
  • Child trafficking, or inciting or pointing the way to it.
  • Posting links or references that lead to any of the above outside Nooda.

How to report from inside Nooda

  1. On a post: the options button, then Report.
  2. On a resident's profile or in a direct message: the options button, then Report user.
  3. In a gathering: report the speaker from the list of those present.

Every report reaches the review team, and child safety reports are placed ahead of all others.

What we do when a report arrives

  • Remove the material at once and stop the account from posting or speaking.
  • Preserve the evidence needed, and ban the account permanently once established.
  • Review the accounts, farms and gatherings connected to it.

Reporting to the authorities

We comply with the child protection laws of the places where we operate, we report child sexual abuse material to the competent national and regional authorities, and we respond to their lawful requests.

Point of contact

For authorities, and for any urgent report that cannot be made from inside the app:

For ordinary reports, use the Report button inside Nooda — it is faster, and it arrives with its full context.
